Our client acquired this site in the West Park area of Hartlepool and demolished an existing bungalow to allow them to develop a new larger executive house with a living space of over 130m2 to each floor. We were appointed as principal contractor for the works following the initial design stage of the works being undertaken by the client with their own independent architect.
We undertook a comprehensive scope of works including all groundwork’s, superstructure, M&E installation, internal fit out, and finally the external hard & soft landscaping. The project was also successfully completed with the added restrictions of having a limited site access and working area due to the clients need to locate the property to the forefront of the site to maximize the private garden area to the rear. This required careful project management and ‘just in time’ deliveries throughout the construction phase of the project to minimise the impact upon the neighbouring properties and public highway.
The project also incorporated a number of high specification elements of work such as an inglenook fireplace, over 100m2 of solid oak flooring, bespoke solid oak staircase, and all second fix joinery items also in solid oak throughout the property. All of these items were finally painstakingly treated with multiple coats of Danish oil to provide the walnut effect required throughout the property by the client for their final interior design colour scheme. Externally we installed over 90m2 of Indian Sandstone with a central ‘compass points’ feature to the rear garden.

Seymour Construction were sub contracted to assist with Civil Engineering works required for a Hydroelectric scheme on the River Calder. Seymour Construction were contracted to undertake the roads, sewers, and plotworks package for a new development of 26 apartments and 4 bungalows. Seymour Construction were contracted to undertake the groundworks package for a new twin span (90m x 60m) MRO hangar on the airfield at London Gatwick airport. Elring Klinger contracted Seymour Construction to undertake various Building & Civil Engineering works to their existing manufacturing facility due to the growth of the business on their Redcar site. Seymour Construction were sub contracted to undertake all groundworks associated with the construction of a new supermarket facility on a brownfield site. Seymour Construction were awarded the contract to undertake the installation of a new 450mm diameter effluent drainage systems on site. Seymour Construction were sub contracted to undertake the groundworks package for a new storage building for the MOD at Clive Barracks. Seymour Construction were contracted to undertake the civil’s work and specialist floor finish works for a new MRO hangar for the MOD at RAF Waddington in Lincoln. Seymour Construction were contracted to install two pre cast concrete service culverts within the Seal Sands petrochemical facility on Teesside. Seymour Construction were contracted to undertake the groundworks package for a new development of 10 affordable homes in Hartlepool. Seymour Construction were contracted to undertake a bespoke 3 bed dormer bungalow self build in a local conservation area. Seymour Construction were contracted to undertake the groundworks package for a new sports facility on the university campus. Seymour Construction have been working on behalf of Hartlepool Water on various water treatment facilities in the area to undertake civils maintenance and minor works. Seymour Construction were contracted by Wynyard Park to undertake site clearance works to circa 10 acres of woodland which had recently been felled by others.
